|Date:||May 27 - May 28, 2013|
|Instructor:||Paul Statler & Betsey Langford|
|Location:||Statler Education Studio, Columbia, MO|
This two day course is intended as both an introduction to CreativeStudio as well as a detailed study of the tips and techniques for using the Statler Stitcher and the features of CreativeStudio to quilt with confidence.
The first day of the course is an introduction to quilting with the Statler Stitcher including loading the quilt, batting selection, thread, bobbin and tension discussions followed by detailed, step-by-step guidance in planning your quilt and using CreativeStudio to set up and preview design elements. Learn to use CreativeStudio in both Stand Alone and Stitcher Mode with success you can take home and use!
The second day of the course includes a hands-on approach to creating pantrograph quilts. Master many of the features of CreativeStudio and the Statler Stitcher so you can return home with the skill to create and complete beautiful quilts!
Both days of the course will include a little lecturing with lots of one-on-one training.
- Training materials will be provided, including instructions, training exercises, and step-by-step guides. Each quilter will be given a notebook to create and build as they learn and are able to take home to continue learning and growing in both creativity and skill.
- Please bring a laptop to participate in Stand Alone activities. A limited number of Statler laptops are available for use in the class, but it is better if you can bring your own laptop so you are comfortable with the technology and are not limited by using unfamiliar technology in the studio.
